Tiller Rex was a project recorded by members of Till Dawn, a little haven/cave where Bolan fans meet to share and discuss their love of all things Marc Bolan. In 2001 the project got under way with 4-track cassettes being posted amongst the members, each member adding his or her contribution to it. New York, UK, Vienna, Canada and Paris are amongst the locations these cassettes travelled to. This was in the days before MP3s were commonplace. Alongside the Bolan covers are a few original songs with a bit of Bolan influence. Bolan Blues is one of the riffs from New York City embellished with 12 bar, a hint of Solid Gold Easy Action and a dusting ofThe King Of The Mountain Cometh which has blown past Eddie Cochran on the way. The other originals you will have to listen to and decide for yourself where their origins lie. All contributions for this project ended up on the CD, everyones contribution was of equal value. This type of project is now common with tracks being sent via MP3 or other sound files. It was a project filled with love and enthusiasm and a very nice tribute to Marc Bolan. Today would have been Marc's
66th birthday. Here's a gift from the fans to you Marc. Happy Birthday.
